Media Journal (and other things) Update 10-19-25

Sgt. Frog S2 - Continued watching when I got the computer working again. This was one of the shows I was watching on PS3 on a SD CRT and so I've lost the momentum. Nothing super noteworthy this week but Keroro's gunpla and plamo obsession is fun.
Minky Momo 2 - EP3 brings us an almost PSA episode, uses a bit from the first series but executes it weaker than the original. Mami Koyama had a ton of episodes to do that voice and get used to the character, Megumi Hayashibara is asked to do the same joke on episode 3. Actually, having finished some shows from the earlier part of the 80's and seen some episodes of co-production kids shows for america, this is starting to already feel in-line with an american 80's kids cartoon co-production show from that late 80s early 90s zone? Also a very weak transfer. Would love for this to somehow get a proper re-scan because it feels like someone screwed up the framerate/detelecine at some point. Huge swings in shot to shot quality tell me this will never happen, but wilder things have happened.
Music
Not much listening this week, but I am getting Reaper and VSTs working again. None of my interfaces work on Linux so the OBS box doesn't have a mic and it ended up back on the old windows box. Playing around with Korg M1 and Triton will be fun.
Misc.
Finally got my CV1 deathless, the pressure to ALSO deathless Maria in Rondo is making me fumble quicker when tired.
Played around with OSSCpro more this week, still can't figure out how to get some things to scale correctly. I need Integer vertical axis and lancos or whatever horizontal? Also used a Carby + HDMI2VGA + HD152SCART on a Gamecube as an overgrown RGB cable. Wii is finally up and running again. Somehow lost my main gamecube pad somewhere
Cooking
Apparently overdoing opening several jars and hurting my wrist that way took my arm out for a day in weird positions. Improvised cooking went well despite minimal planning. Youtube has shown me Japanese frozen food I wish were available here. I may need to learn how to clone that ebi yose fry patty thing.
