Misc
been trying to work thru a simultaneous writers block and art block. The art block is more in learning stuff and not been able to do as much. Also, a bunch of art is looking more... off? than usual.

Super Cub
Finished! I think there's stuff I like better in the comic adaptation but it's a fun show. The trio of friends have a fun dynamic. I think we need an official EN version of the comic at least, no idea how the novel is. S2 could be nice but I don't think budget shows usually get an S2 unless it does really really well globally or something? There was slightly less Honda propaganda than expected but I'm used to SO much more 'Power of Dreams' stuff than most people.
Games
macOS heck, stuck with only a Macbook for a little bit.
Been trying to play some relatively current day ports and some new games on macOS that won't be held back by my older compatibility layer stuff. The new mac build of Prototype N demo runs great thanks to moving to Godot. As game maker games can be, the old Game maker based demo felt off or slow on some machines and the translation layers on arm macs were no help there too.
I've gotten some ADV/VNs working, of course. Older Windows specific stuff seems to have sound issues on macOS, and part of it is having outdated tools. I did finally remember the "Audio MIDI Setup" settings app exists, and changing the sample rate has helped some thing run.
Game Boy Advance grab-bag
Been stuck places with my GBA (or DSfat if that's what's charged) and been sampling games.
- Konami Krazy Racers: Took a while to get used to, this one has only been tried on DS d-pad and now that I think about it I should try on OG GBA d-pad.Was hard to keep up as Pastel at first, and I was half asleep when I tried this one. Will play more later.
- Kirby & The Amazing Mirror: I actually did not like this game when I first played it. Dropped it really quickly then because of how easy it was to lose powers. Years later, that's still an issue but less of one so far. Enjoyed what I did play, but still unsure if I'm going to give it a full try. Being a sprawling map and not a linear game with a boss, I didn't find one yet. If any? I did watch a play through at some point but I remember nothing.
- Mario Advance, in Japanese and Chinese: It's Mario USA. I don't neeed to be able to read it, right? Definitely don't like this one on the DS's D-pad, my SP dpad was a little better but another I need to try on original GBA.
It's not bad, but after playing platformers and action games on SNES and NES on Nintendo's classic d-pads, I actually think Nintendo did a little better on their older rubber domes than their clicky d-pads. Certainly better than their modern controllers. Not you, gamecube controller.
Scrandle
Just been playing a bunch of days in a row and there's been some really fun days. Occasionally has an influence on what I improvise for dinner.
