I can't explain things.

media update 01-18-26

Still having a busy time fixing stuff. Slowly moving more software off my old Win10 box. That's going to stick around as a compatibility box and video player. It helps I put it in a mini itx case.

Been drawing more. Got ClipStudio moved to a different computer and am getting used to what works slightly different. Refreshed some art supplies and am truly back to trying to learn to draw on paper. Starting to understand why some ppl prefer workflows where inking is finished on paper, but digital color.

Minky Momo 2

Watched more episodes. A silly episode where Momo tries to run the inn solo. A TV sfx show focused episode with a good Momo transformation. And a funny episode with an offbrand superman. (Supermanto, manto as in mantle/cape. Even to my hearing some line reads feel like they barely say the 'to'.) Actually a great trio of episodes. Great comedic timing and Hayashibara is doing well here.

Super Cub

Started the anime, I have looked at the manga a little bit before. I think there's some art things I like more about the comic version. It's like they barely gave the show a budget. It doesn't look bad and the stiffness so far does help with the main girl but it does worry me slightly. That said, I am enjoying it. It's a nice calm down watch during stressful times.
I also found out that within the last month or so, Honda Motorsports US has stopped selling the Super Cub here. Quietly, too. I couldn't dig up a press release when I went looking last night. I'm going to just shoot from the hip and blame dealers first, even tho there's like a mountain of other reasons it sold poorly. Like any car that isn't the most pushed mainstream shit, dealers will make it hard to acquire in the first place and then later everyone goes "oh well it sold bad" like what happened to most manual transmission cars. (Yes, it is also a bad fit for a ton of US cities but that's a different issue. We have to fix zoning. And transit. And roads. And city planning. and government. andandand)

Cooking

Getting better at making meals from what's available and keeping it flavorful. Though, to be honest part of this is because I've spent the last year finding new shelf stable or frozen ingredients over the last year-ish and keeping what I can in stock.
