I can't explain things.

What the heck is with modern TVs.

So I've had time to commandeer the parent's nice television, but configuring it is such a pain. Apparently UHD-BD can out-bandwidth the HDMI cable included with the PS5 and so you need a better cable for Dolby Vision. Now that the TV (and player) have switched into Dolby Vision mode there's some settings I can change and can't change and now I need to re-do the motion smoothing crap because it's slightly aggressive again despite it being in some professional mode. QD-OLED is great, but still has a bit of sample and hold that would be cleaned up with BFI (bringing the flicker back). Well... Apparently despite all the CINEMA type features on it, it doesn't framerate match the black frame insertion so it's can't do like.. 72hz or something. It can only do 60hz. Great for old games if I hook stuff up, mostly useless otherwise.

I hope these new HDR monitors aren't this picky.
